Starting Pond during a pandemic, I've experienced first hand the isolation and doubt that comes with founding any business, but especially a business taking on problems in the nonprofit sector. Investors question the business opportunity and your potential customers question your intentions at every turn.
I've heard similar sentiment from almost 100 founders in the nonprofit tech space that I've met in the past year. It feels like we so often have to "reinvent the wheel" to solve tangential or parallel problems. We have had no way to effectively and continuously collaborate with peers to avoid the same pitfalls.
This group is for anyone that is seriously considering founding an impact tech company, is in the throws of a start up, or has achieved some success and wants to lift others while they climb.
There's no homework or rules, just a commitment to respect ourselves and each other while discussing best practices, shared learnings and coping with all the challenges that come with your commitment to change the world.
