Group work offers a powerful way to energize your clinical work. It allows individuals to see and learn how they interact with others and allows them to practice the art of sharing their thoughts and feelings authentically. Managing these groups and getting them to thrive can be particularly challenging for practitioners used to one-on-one therapy.
This group is designed for therapists interested in learning and/or refreshing the skills required to run a thriving group. It focuses on evidence-based principles and interventions that foster group cohesion and facilitate discussion. We'll also cover the different types of groups that exist, how therapists can effectively screen newcomers, and what therapeutic factors come into play when you're working with a group.
Through these sessions you'll be energized by the interpersonal power of group. Your clients will learn from each other and support each other in their growth. You'll serve more clients in a similar amount of time and enhance your professional satisfaction and income in the process.
