Session Length: 85 minutes
Frequency: every 2 weeks
Group Size: up to 5 |
It takes a few years to build up confidence in your work with patients. It's important to have a supervisor you trust and feel safe with. I've led individual and group supervision for ten years. I'm a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) and a Life Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, so I can help you with your groups. I'm a supervisor in couple therapy at the Training Institute for Mental Health, so I can help you with your work with couples. I'm trained analytically but am familiar with all the different approaches, and I've been working with individuals for over 40 years. I think supervision in a group is even more useful than individual supervision, because hearing the experiences and uncertainties of other therapists will normalize your own. We'll have a maximum of 5 people, so there will be time for everyone, but you will learn a lot even if you're not presenting a case. A brief interview is required.
